S100A8 / S100A9（MRP（8/14）是一種鈣結合蛋白，由中性粒細胞和單核細胞分泌而成，糞便中S100A8 / S100A9是贅生性和炎癥性胃腸疾病的標志物，一般情況下很難區(qū)分腸易激綜合癥和慢性炎癥性腸病，所以很多時候會導致廣泛和不必要結腸鏡檢查，而S100A8 / S100A9檢測可以使兩組患者明確區(qū)分。將該標記物與結腸直腸癌的標準糞便潛血篩查進行比較，能夠清楚地證明了糞便S100A8 / S100A9測試的診斷優(yōu)勢，該參數(shù)具有較高的診斷價值：如果糞便中的S100A8 / S100A9水平較低，則很可能不存在器質性疾病。
